I'm glad you stopped by, how are you? I'm kinda excited about tomorrow: Full Moon in Virgo and the Annular Solar Eclipse (I now understand what D. Rudhyar was saying when he spoke about people and their special moons). BTW I remain steadfast in siprit with my moon journal, thanks again for sharing!
Thank you for your interest! Even though the 'new moon' is dark (for 3 days, then the sliver) energetically we are in the process of activating and moving outward with our energy and vision. I'm speaking of an energetic level internally. Male energy wants to get moving, moving forward and this is where we are after being drawn so far inward at the balsamic phase--where there is much inner reflection on the 'whole'. There is a constant fluctuating in each phase. The full phase is the balance but the feminine energy begins to pull us back inward. Peace, Liaya

Give thanks for that post on the Moon. I jus have one question: why is the New Moon considered to be a 'masculine' phase & the Full Moon considered to be a 'feminine' phase? I read the reasoning, but it seems to me that the reverse is true. Since the New Moon is essentialy dark it carries a spirit of mystery & it's booming with pro-creative fertility. It has always felt like a very feminine phase within the cycle jus as the Full Moon carries a lot of 'masculine' energy cuz that's when the Moon is in full reflection of the Sun...Please elaborate on why the New Moon is yang & why the Full Moon is yin.
Never doubt your feelings though. The balsamic phase, which occurs right before the new phase is a very powerful overall feminine phase (the new phase while masculine still carries the seeds of the previous feminine energy of the balsamic) and I feel you may be still feeling that energy although you may also be feeling the pull to move out of reflection which is a masculine direction. I'm going to be making some meditation tapes on each phase which hopefully will give the listener the opportunity to 'feel' each energy as it can be a little difficult conveying the phase energy through words alone.
