About Me

Originally from California, I moved to New York some time ago to pursue my education and decided to make it my home (at least for now). Though I love sunshine, sand and beaches, I felt my hometown to be lacking of culture and the right kind of opportunity for me.

I am the daughter of a mixed heritage European immigrant and black American, both with such interesting and rich family histories. Often people see my name and make assumption about who I am, then they see the color of the skin. Often, people would rather make assumptions about who someone is and how they got there than believe or consider the real truth. But I am driven. I learned to thrive when people doubted me the most, and am very proud to be the woman I am today.

As I get older my interest are pointed towards the culture and practices of my most ancient ancestors and learning how to listen when both my ancestors and my earth have something to say.

Finally, I am happy to be here and hope that we are all making the most of every moment.
