CNN Last Night....

was much better than the previous night ? So glad to see that they showed many different black men in all situations and in a positive light. I was really impressed and happy that they did not slander the Black Man segment.

Bravo to CNN...... Yet and still I did not learn anything new last night. I guess these 2 part documentary was to educate the ignorant masses that know nothing about the black man in America but what they hear and see in the TV late night news.

Love is as Love does~

2 Movies to See... Rent, Watch Online, Sumthin

Imma try to make this one short. I love these two movies that I have just seen... Juno which, if I'm not mistaken, won Best Screenplay and The Waitress, starring Keri Russell from Felicity. These movies both take lighthearted approaches to very big life changes... As I'm writing this I realize that they both include pregnancy. Anyway, they don't capitalize and make fun of these things but they really bring to mind things like self affirmation. They are humorous but wonderful. PLEASE see these movies. I LOVED them and hope you will too!

Behind The Camera

Monday, Nov 19, 2007

I recently picked up the latest issue of Essence magazine with Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, and Gabrielle Union gracing the cover. All three actresses are very beautiful and talented. Unfortunately, the interview began with Sanaa mentioning how she was so happy to have gotten a job this year as in its hard to find work. Nia then mentions that with being an actress there is no security. This discussion isn't unusual. A lot of African American actors and actresses claim to have trouble finding work and often complain that there isn't an equal and fair representation of African American actors and actresses on the screen.
