Hi everyone
I'm a sister of a certain age,(49) who is going back to a progressive school in NY city starting next month, I am also a full time government worker, a parent and I will be travelling once a month to school. I need a makeover, or something. When I look at my wardrobe I see disjoinetd pieces, but not a lot of work or school clothes with style. I have no dress code at work but would like to effect a casual, stylish look, and for school I don't want to look like a kid, but I do need travel worthy clothes that are comfortable and can stand up to loads of NY walking. I'm on a budget, I am plus sized and I need your help. Any suggestions, advice, anything. I do subscribe to several blogs on fashion including afrobella, and budget fashionista,Amaze...etc.But I need some sister to sister contact.
Re:What can a sister do

I'm in the process of a life change and looking to spruce up my wardrobe. What I've found that I like to do is look through magazines and find things that speak to my spirit and then shop around at discount stores finding pieces to make up my outfit. I will spend top dollar on shoes and bags, but that's it. Just take it slow like an outfit out of each paycheck. Pretty soon you'll start to have coordinated pieces that create a new renewed wardrobe.
