For all of those who juice using a in home juicer, how do you all go about cleaning any stains that is left from pigmented fruits and veggies from your juicer?
Also, what ware some of your favorite juicing recipes/blends/ingredients? Just looking for some juicy inspiration! LOL.
Yum
To reduce staining, I juice fruits & veggies from lightest-colored to darkest, but save carrots for last. That way the pulp from the other foods creates a barrier between the carrot and the plastic. And I second the hot water & vinegar soak!
I've read that carrot cucumber juice is great for acne/skin problems but I haven't tried it (yet).
Vinegar & baking soda
Try mixing vinegar & baking soda together to clean the stains off from your juicer. If this doesn't work, try a lil lemon juice.
My favorite juice recipe was given to me from Circle Sister, Mawiyah.
5 carrots
2 pears
2 Oranges (with or without peel)
1 Sm. chunk of Ginger
after juicing all that add 1/2 tsp. Cayenne & 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
This juice is the bomb!!!
Any other juicing combos good for clearing up blemishes?
The one I use is getting kind of tired.

I add an apple and/or pear to every juice concoction
I have a sweet tooth and for all of my juicing concoctions, I add an apple and/or pear just for that sweet taste. I usually do a carrot/cucumber/bell pepper/orange/apple/pear juice. The carrot/cucumber/bell pepper portion is said to be good for the skin, but in order for me to drink it, I gotta have my apple and/or pear. An orange can sometimes add a sweet taste too, but I usually use it just for that extra kick of vitamin c.

vinegar
if you can clean it with hot water and vinegar or let the water and vinegar sit in there to lift the stain the only other thing I've heard to try is water and baking soda but i'm not sure if that works though

Like Chayli said make sure you wash it right away.. and put the strainnie fruit in first.. I always put the hard fruit in first...
Ill post some reciepes real soon.. I like to include pictures and my juicer is on a boat now.. well should be here today.. hopefully.

Boring
I have to say ! my juice is plain ole boring. I always use fruit never veggies I read that they should not be mixed (no idea where I read that LOL) My favorite is ginger and fuji apple it gives instant energy and refreshes. For the boys I do 6 strawberries, 1 banana and juice of one orange they love that it stays quite thick. I am not a fan of banana's so i substitute with mango. If you can get your hand on papaya freeze it in blocks first and than juice it with a lil lemon juice this is the best summerdrink ever
I have an inexpensive bosch juicer and the plastic is real smooth and never stained, I do wash it immediately and I always juice the non staining fruits first that makes everything a lil slippery so the other fruits don't stain.
