Hi Sistrens,
Do any of you keep a home management binder to make your family life run smoothly? I was first introduced to the concept of a control journal when I became a fly baby (www.flylady.net) 2 yrs ago. Since I have adapted my binder many times, life changes and so should your binder LOL
This year I decided to make a completely new binder I wanted a new binder with pictures that inspire me and sections for all things of intrest. I made a section for vegan recipes (now we eat fish/dairy and eggs) I want to find recipes that my family will love to make the transition to no fish and animal byproducts easier, I created a section for craft and sewing ideas to put free tutorials I found online or just ideas I see in magazines, a section for keeping track of my bible and kebra nagast studies the other sections (cleaning schedules, menu's, health info, budgeting, pantry inventory) were reprinted with new pictures and placed in the new binder.
Does anyone have ideas what I can add to the binder to make home life run more smoothly? What does your binder look like? If you don't keep a binder what tips and tricks do you apply in order to keep things running smoothly? Does anyone besides you in your family or circle use your binder as well?
I would love to hear from all you mommies out there how you keep home organized, and make sure that everyone in the household is able to keep to appointments etc
Blessings,
Chayil
Very Creative Idea!
The control binder is a great idea Sis.
Many people look at control as a negative thing such as being over bearing or manipulative. However, positive control is actually the opposite. I'm glad that you called it the "control binder".
I write down EVERYTHING,so I think the next natural step would be to create a control binder. It also made me think that it will be great to pass down to daughters when they become women. Thanks for the idea.
A great technique I also use to keep in control and to probe my life forward is visualization. It works great.
Peace and Blessings Sis,

Great Idea
I don't have a control binder but making one sounds like a great idea! It also sounds like fun and good way for everyone in the family to participate in something.

Sis Aremisa
I definately recommend making a control journal to keep on top of things! I don't know if you make menu's and do some freezer cooking those two things really helped me it gives a sense of ease when you know that every meal for the week is thought about and the groceries are in the house. I really loved taking the babysteps on the above site everyday you add another task to your scedule, I did adapt them to cater to my families needs. I try to do something in every room daily this keeps all rooms tidy and makes sure that I never had to spend more than 15 min per room to clean ever! I divided my home in zones and each zone gets a turn for thorough cleaning once a month.
Blessings and have a happy relaxing and fun weekend,
Chayil

Good Stuff!
I did start my control journal and I must say it is coming along nicely. I did do some menus, and I am going to do the freezer cooking as well. Now I do like the zone cleaning idea so we are going to start that. The site you gave is great. Thank you so much sis!
You have a blessed weekend as well.
Love and Light,

I'm going to try this!
Sis Chiyal,
I have been looking for ways to better organize my home. Running a biz, homeshooling, and being the house manager can be challanging. I have specific days that I do certain things, but I need something more concrete. Thank you for the site as well.
Much Love,
Aremisa
