So, I was running a bit behind with my reading, but I'm all caught up now. :) There seemed to be a lot going on in this week of reading. I have lots of ideas that I hope to incorporate. mainly with the diet. I love to cook, and bake, so I will try to incorporate more juices and greens into my life and eat less desserts. Overall I would say that this reading was focused on diet so I will be working on my shopping list!
pg.67: I really would love to learn more about iridology and rflexology...does anyone here in the Cirlce study this. i will try to post a bite about it. I think we have a book on iridology somewhere around here as well.
So I plan to step up my incorporation of Green juices, live foods, and essential herbs. i am excited about the teas and after reading I juiced some broccoli, spinach, 1 apple, 1 pear, 1.2 a lemon, 3 strawberries, and 1 orange....It was delicious and I will post pics soon. I soaked my fruit(which was not organic) in the apple cider that she mentioned on pg. 80.
pg. 76: I like how she relates the seasons of the womb to the seasons of weather!
pg. 79: THIS WAS MY FAVORITE QUOTE THUS FAR: "The whole world comes from our wombs. As we create better thoughts and ideas, more creativity will flow through our wombs and into the world."
I loved this quote, because I have been saying that creativity can save the world..and this part just made me happy! I truly feel that once women truly use every ounce of creativity that they have within their home and within their life, then the world will be a better place filled with better people because we will be utilizing pure thought, pure creativity, and pure love within our homes & with our family & friends. The more creative we are in our home the less likely our children will feel a lack of love and attention therefore the effects that the children we raise will not effect someone else negatively or "un-loved" so to speak. am i making sense?
pg. 108-118: This Friday/Saturday I have to do my two weeks worth of grocery shopping, so I will make it my goal to get at LEAST one food from zones 0-7 from each of the womb foods if not more.(see pg.118 also)
I am not sure how fasting will go, but I plan to to live juice fasting at least one to two times a week thereafter.
pg. 119: has anyone charged their water with stones? i have heard of this before through Ra Un Nefer Amen, but have not met anyone who has done it.
A screeching halt
Is what the book circle has come to at this moment. I wanted to put my two cents in on that front. I was inspired by something my friend wrote on his refrigerator white board. He's very diligent about keeping track of the phases of the moon, planets, etc. and how all those things govern our daily lives. Sometimes I'll go to him and say, "I was acting crazy on such-and-such day!" and he'll look it up and tell me where the cosmos was at relative to my sign. And it's always an eye opener (and then I kick myself cuz had I known, I could have planned accordingly!) anyways, I'm going to try and remember exactly what he had on the fridge last night, please excuse me if I'm off a few days or mispell this (and if you know what I'm talking about, please help out) March 21-April 8th we're in a cosmic phase called Peram, which means growth. So if you feel you've grown in leaps and bounds over the past few weeks, or life pushed you HARD in that direction (even though you were kicking and screaming like I was, lol), you are not alone. It's a time for serious reflection, and to make moves. You may get into a fight or two with friends, relatives, or your mate during this phase. Just know that's part of the process, you're being pushed harder than you may be used to pushing, and it is stressful. Try your best to lead this energy in a positive direction through solitary, couple, or group prayer, and take special care in your communications with people.
I just wanted to put that out there because I don't want folks to feel discouraged if they've put the book down recently. We're in a crucial phase we won't be exiting till early next week, so it may be a bit harder to relax. In terms of the book itself, we're entering into more of the dietary stuff, which I know is a huge challenge. I'm not gonna lie I just had a hamburger for lunch. If you're not quite there yet, you're not alone. In one of Queen Afua's other awesome books, Heal Thyself, she says in the introduction not to feel bad if you're not able to make all the changes you'd like to right away. We've been eating a certain way most of our lives, and for many of us it will take a long time to make that u-turn. Queen Afua said it took her 15 years to turn her eating habits around, and that it only happens when we remain in a state of forgiveness with ourselves, not guilt or punishment.
Okay, I just wanted to put those thoughts on the table. If you're going through it right now, remember we'll be out of this phase on April 8th (that's the date I know for certain) and maybe at that time, when the waves are crashing a little less heavily, we can pick up Sacred Woman with renewed vigor.
How has everyone been during this phase? Did some major life changes occur? Did you have a parting of ways that's been troubling you? I hope we can share the good and the bad, and even if you don't want to share, just know you're not alone.
