man, my highlighter worked overtime throughout this chapter( I am sure there will be many more throughout the following chapters too) So while it would probably take me much too long to post all of the things that I highlighted between pgs. 21-41, I will post some of my favorite "highlights":
pg. 24: "One day not too long from now, you will look about your entire home and realize with joy that every room is like an altar, empowered with you sacred touch and loving energy from the indwelling Sacred Spirit." -I have to say that after reading this sentence...I did come to this realization!"
pg. 28: "Frankincense helps eliminates confusion and depression."
pg 29: "The Fire Breaths: The more you practice Fire Breath, the more you will build your capacity to do it, and so receive its amazing energizing and restorative benefits.
pg. 30: "Moonstone opens up to our true femininity and aids in healing tumors. It is connected to the moon and and the female aspect of a woman' emotional nature. It can absorb negative feelings and vibrations and sends healing to the wearer."
pg. 31: Flower Essences:

Pomegranate: http://www.anandaapothecary.com/fes-north-american-flower-essences/pomeg...

Black Eyed Susan: http://www.anandaapothecary.com/fes-north-american-flower-essences/black...

pg. 32: "Due to our present degenerated state as women, we are often impotent healers of self. Lost women are women who are disconnected from their sacred center." 'I LOVED This!'
pg. 38: Sacred Time: "When you honor your sacredness you begin to understand that all time is spiritual. When you live in a more cosmic, timely, organized fashion, you are more in tune with self, humanity, and the Moon, Sun, and Stars. Time moves in a circle. It is ongoing and it never ends." -'POETIC'
pg. 40: The Sacred Clock: well, it would be TERRIBLY hard pressed for me to awake between the hours of 4am and 5am, because I am usually just going to bed around 2:00am. So I will have to evaluate my schedule and see what I can work/re-arrange for my health and my home life. I hope to post a summary of how I would like my days to flow soon. This is where I will have to keep the Scared Time quote above in mind, because the only way that I am going to get everything that I need to get done in a day is in an organized and cosmic fashion..LOL!
Rejuvenated
It's funny that I jumped online and read this particular post tonight. The quote about each room becoming like an altar. I just came home from the opening night of the all women's art/performance show I'm a part of this weekend where I created--you guessed it--an altar. And I felt completely drained, and slightly bummed out (the show went well but it's still scary for me to put something so personal out into the world for all to see). I read that post, and remembered how far I've come, in terms of making every room of my home like an altar. Step by step, things are changing, and my space is beginning to to reflect the elevation of my heart and mind. Now I just have to stay on the path. My biggest challenge with that will be getting rid of old stuff I don't use (which manifests itself as old dead energy in my life) and having the courage to let go of things I no longer need. I feel my best when my space is clear, with just the things I use and the things I absolutely love. Sometimes I look around the house and I just feel weighed down, which is not how I want to feel about home. So that's what I'm going to work on.
my sacred clock and journey
Hi all~
I just finally bought my book yesterday... I was very surprised by the volume of the book - it's a large thick textbook! When the bookstore clerk pointed it out to me on the shelf I reached for it with a warm feeling of finally finding it and an eager excitement to crack it open. I could tell from the outside that this book would tell me secrets, remedies, affirmations - this book would be my guide along a journey I've been blindly traveling on for the last 4 years...
In reading the first 40 pages - I was happy to find that my altar is only missing a few essential bits and my affirmations and efforts to wake at 5am each morning (even though I've resolved to waking at 6am with no problem - a quest that has taken me years and years to finally succeed in and be able to say I now am A MORNING PERSON!!)
I felt like I was not alone last night in reading this sacred book and really am excited to be on this journey. I need to catch-up with the assignments and am excited to be fulfilling them and really experiencing my growth. Some of the text touched on issues with me and my womb that I hadn't expected or even dealt with until now. Thank you for this recommended book and the opporunity to support each other and share in this awesome journey.
pg 24
Those words are so powerful. I just began this journey and somehow i already feel that the vibe in my house has changed. ATTITUDE GYAL
Light the way.
"One day not too long from now, you will look about your entire home and realize with joy that every room is like an altar, empowered with you sacred touch and loving energy from the indwelling Sacred Spirit." This point also touched me because as we become more attuned with the wombinverse, every part of our lives will become sacred. Our home, our car, our workplace & our body will become an altar where communion may come naturally.
"Due to our present degenerated state as women, we are often impotent healers of self. Lost women are women who are disconnected from their sacred center." I could relate to this point as there are times I feel so lost & isolated. She helped me see that in times like those I jus gotta stay deep rooted within so I may find my sacred center & it is no coincidence she recommends working with frankincense.
A month ago I signed up for a Kundalini Yoga class at the local university. Right away I was taught how to do 'Fire Breaths' which not only energizing & restorative, it also serves to be a decongestant.
Moonstone has always been one of my favorites. I jus love Moonstone & recommend every wombyn to carry it. It also helps regulate the menstrual cycle.
Flower essences carry beautiful vibrations... I love them! Give thanks for the link. I actually have the book she sites, but it is always good to read about these things from various sources. What essences will you work with?
pg. 38: Sacred Time: "When you honor your sacredness you begin to understand that all time is spiritual. When you live in a more cosmic, timely, organized fashion, you are more in tune with self, humanity, and the Moon, Sun, and Stars. Time moves in a circle. It is ongoing and it never ends." -'POETIC' - Yeah that was a beautiful & important point!
The Sacred Clock is what I'm struggling with the most. I've also got to re-evaluate my schedule & rearrange my daily rhythm because I know this is one of the most important observances. There is an ancient science to rising in the hours she mentioned. My grandma has always taught me the importance of going to bed early & rising early same way. I was always a lunar kinda person, meaning I really resonate with the dark, night energy. Is is very fertile & creative time for me. However, I had to change this pattern the night my son was born cuz he naturally rises early, real early. Don't worry sis, in perfect time, everything will be in divine order. Be patient with yourself... good things take time to form.
