We prize cool, we prize beauty, we prize peace. We adorn, annoint, and beautify every day in our rituals of body care be they peace, beauty, or in a mad dash for the sake of time. Just remember, as we do what we do to beauty and peacify our bodes in our quests, lets be safe. Our body care, even the so called "natural" products can be dangerous. Check your packages, read your labels.
Some of the ingredients to steer clear of are: parabens of all kinds, DEA/TEA/EDTA/BHA/PEG, dimethicone, talc, mineral oil, propylene glycol, and FRAGRANCE oil. Fragrance oil is the most common skin irritant and in some studies it is linked to cancer. Fragrance oils are cheap, easily accessible, offer thousands of options; as for me and "my house", we're sticking with the script and offering only what the Creator has offered us.
I decided to leave fragrance oils out of my body care line for many reason. Tempted by the extremely cheap prices and varieties, I checked into the fragrance oils. I wanted them to be natural, but when I called the companies for the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) on them, they listed the words "trade secrets" in the the little box that's supposed to tell what it's really made of. What are "trade secrets?" Several hundred petro chemicals and synthetics unknown to me or anybody else.
I was even more convinced when I poured some of the fragrance oils in a plastic cup and it actually ate through the cup!!!!! (I took pictures of the cup and as soon as I figure out how to post them, I will). I'm not a company basher, but I want sisters to be informed.
Young sisters are dying from breast cancer. SAKILE will do nothing, or add anything to it's jars and bottles that may contribute to this. That means, you'll only experience the good Earth when you get yourself some SAKILE. You won't get the mango, fruit punch, kiwi, pineapple, cotton candy crunch thing. But you will get the EXOTIC LEMON and YLANG YLANG, JASMINE and SAFFRON, and the GREEN COCONUT to name a few when you step into the studio in downtown Orlando
Let's just be cautious and cognizant of our products; things we put on our bodies daily, sometimes two or three times a day and in layers. Let's read our packages in our peace and beauty quests, let's insist on truly all natural products and make no mistake - a product that claims "all natural", but uses FRAGRANCE as one of their ingredients, is NOT all natural.
Blessings and Love,
Karen
