Cosmetics and perfumes have been popular since the dawn of civilization. Yet in these days and times a certain standard for beauty has been set, a set image and style. If you don’t fit into that category of beauty, then you are considered ugly. This is why so many Nubians put on too much make up and Perm (which is not really permanent so you have to keep getting it done over and over again) or relax your kingly crown (9 ether hair).
You put on fake nails, fake eyelashes and even alter the structure of your faces by cosmetically or surgically thinning your nose and lips to make yourselves over in the image other than self and kind.
You have natural beauty, so the only reason you need to wear make up is to enhance your beauty as your ancestors (the Africans, Tamaraians, Khamites, Kemites, Egiptians}). Your self-esteem has been brought so low that you believe (Be-Lie-Eve – Meaning ‘to lie to Eve’s children’) that it is necessary to wear make up everyday or permanently change or alter the structure of your face. Your different hues, your eyes, your lips and your nose are what the creator gave you to make you beautiful. You do not need make up to bring out color. You do not have to ‘make up’ anything. You enhance the Goddess/Deity in you.
Our way of wearing cosmetics and preserving beauty from your ancestors was stolen. The Khamites wore make up to enhance and preserve their feminine and masculine beauty. Before Queen Nefertiti married Akhenaton, she was his make up artist, bet you didn't’t you know that. (smile)
The Khamites (Egiptians) were well know for their knowledge in the refined art of cosmetics. By using natural elements from the planet earth, they were able to make natural cosmetics such as henna and kohl. Now there are many cosmetics on the market manufactured by Corporate America for various other skin types, hair and body, which Nubian people use. However, since your body chemistry and hair texture (9 ether – 7 ether) is different from theirs you should products that are for your skin and hair type.
We can thoroughly go into the different hazardous chemicals found in many popular cosmetics used, which have been found to be carcinogenic (cancerous) to laboratory animals and humans. This is the reason why we recommend that you use natural products. Henna, as previously mentioned, it a natural dye that comes in a variety of colors ranging from red to black, to darken or lighten your hair. Henna comes for the leaves of a shrub called ‘Lawsonia Alba’ also known as ‘Egyptian Privet’ and ‘Jamaica Mignonette’. Khamites (Kemites, Egyptian) women prized the fragrant blossom of this shrub and used henna to display, decorate ornaments on the hands and feet. It is not only used as a dye, but as a medical substance also. It gives the hair a semi permanent protein coating, protecting it from sun damage and air pollution and cleanses the face. It washes out gradually over a 6-month period. For best results, be sure to use 100% pure henna without metallic bases.
Instead of using chemical hair dyes, which strip your hair of its natural oils and minerals and has a lye base, use henna as a natural hair dye.
It is every woman’s desire for a beautiful complexion, and a common phrase is ‘beauty is only skin deep, so we say, have beautiful skin. As a mark of beauty, good skin ranks next to personal cleanliness. There are 5 types of skin (Dry, Oil, Normal Dry, sensitive and combination skin). The proper diet, water and vitamins are essential needs of your skin in order to maintain it’s natural beauty, moisture and softness. Vitamins are obtained through food sources. The food is converted into vitamins through our body.
The skin is self-renewing. Every time you cleanse your skin, dead skin flakes off. Don’t lubricate your skin, or you will clog up the pores, which will lead to black heads, acne etc. After showering, put baby oil into your bath so that it can get into your pours and lubricate your body. Some even say that olive oil is too heavy and will clog your pores. Also, natural Aloe Vera from the plant is good if taken internally and is excellent for medicinal purposes.
Your eyes are very sensitive so if you put foreign objects in them such as dyed eyeliner, it will become irritated. Instead of using eyeliners, which are treated on laboratory animals, you can use natural eye make up and a very good eye cleanser called kohl. Used for centuries by the Khamites (Kemites, Egyptian), and people of many different cultures worldwide. Kohl is burnt frankincense, a natural element that comes in a powdered form and in different colors (brown, black, green, blue, purple, etc). When applying it on an applicator, start at the inner corner of the eyelids and work outwards. Darken to meet your taste. It can also be used to color the eyebrow, eyelashes and to give the lips a more natural appearance.
NOTE: Make sure before you use natural products that you are not allergic to them.
Don’t stop yourself to be lower than who and what you are because you are the rulers of the Planet earth. Be you, Let your beauty shine through and don’t take any interpretation of beauty and staple it to you. Lift the spell of ignorance off you and be yourself again as Goddess, as Deities just as your ancestors were.
Thank you sisters Soulliving
Thank you sisters Soulliving and Anuket for the explanations! It does feel good to see replacements from the 'nappy head' negative images I grew up with as a little girl in the 50s and 60s. Science and Knowledge of Self is healing us all. Peace, Liaya

9 Ether
I feel our Sister SoulLiving did a excellent job in explaining the meaning of 9 Eher in reference to the hair follicle, thank you (smile/wink). To take it just a little further here is the meaning on 9 Ether:
9-Ether is the combination of all existing gases of nature, thus, the all is in all. Nothing anywhere can be as powerful as all existing gases. Therefore, 9-ether is the most potent power in the universes, 9 to the 9th power of 9. Nine is symbolic of heaven, hell, creation and birth. Nine is a number whose square root is three (3). We all have knowledge of the Periodic Table of all elements/minerals however there is a parallel side to this table dealing with gases called "Ether." For instance we are taught that numbers go from 1-9 and then they start over with the root numbers (1-9) 11, 12, 13 etc then your twenty's, and so forth. So you see the only true numbers are 1-9. As with ether, ether forces go on the scale of 1-9.
9-Ether in the case of the hair follicle in all Africans/Nubians (9 Ether beings), produces the number 9 symbol/curl. The number 9 mathematically is the highest number in the universe making 9 ether beings infinite. For More Information on 9 Ether and 9 Ether Beings, reference the books entitled What Is Nuwaubu and the Black Book Pt1 both By Dr. Malachi Z. York.
kohl
where in the world where you can buy kohl at?!
Kohl / Eyeliner
Kohl is basically eyeliner. I do not wear hardly any makeup and when I do it is a drop of concealer, mineral powder( currently crush groove cosmetics), eye shadow, lip gloss, and kohl/eyeliner. I LOVE eyeliner. Every time I put it on I get a gentle connection to the women of the past. I think it is the most essential & beautiful adornment. I sometimes wing mine out on the creases as well depending on my mood. You can get kohl eyeliner from sephora: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P99802&categoryId=RVP, just check the ingredients, because you want it as pure as possible. Many eyeliners are filled with junk that will irritate/redden the eyes.
I found this organic one too:: http://www.lovelula.com/pd_lavera_black.cfm
"Kohl is a mixture of soot and other ingredients used predominantly by Middle Eastern, North African, Sub-Saharan African, and South Asian women, and to a lesser extent men, to darken the eyelids and as mascara for the eyelashes. Kohl {from Arabic كحل kuḥl) is also sometimes spelled kol, kehal (in the Arab world), or kohal, and is known as surma or kajal in South Asia. It is the etymon of "alcohol."[1]
Kohl has been worn traditionally as far back as the Bronze Age (3500 B.C. onward). Kohl was originally used as protection against eye ailments. Darkening around the eyelids also provided relief from the glare of the sun. Mothers would also apply kohl to their infants' eyes soon after birth. Some did this to "strengthen the child's eyes," and others believed it could prevent the child from being cursed by an "evil eye".' -wikipedia

Thank you for the affirmation Anuket! BTW, what are 9 and 7 ethers? Are you referring to the kabbalah in some form? Innare, I'm currently working on creating a line of all natural cosmetics (including colors) from plant and minerals--no titanium dioxcide, bimuthe, etc either! I'll definitely keep the sisters here posted. Adornment is necessary and fun!

Liaya..9 ether hair is a
Liaya..9 ether hair is a term basically defining the upward spiral of our natural hair follicles(very coarse curly hair). If you have very natural coarse hair and look at the strand from the root up, you will see the shape of a 9 at the top curl...I do not consider our hair to be dead...it holds energy and spirals upward, 9 ether hair grows up...as a LIVING plant would...growing towards the sun, where as a lower "ether" hair is much more dense and falls downward, as a DYING plant would do. If you were to hold a strand of straight hair in your hand it usually falls downward and is much weaker than our coarser hair. I hope that just made sense. You know ....like how many times it feels as though our hair is HOLDING & STORING energy!
For example: If you take a pen and draw continuous spirals in the shape of a nine(draw a curly nine from the bottom of your page(representing the root of our hair) and keep going UP), and it forms an upward spiral AWAY from the root in the shapes of a nine, then try doing the same thing with a six...try drawing a curly number six going upward from the bottom of the page..and it will form a downward/reverse spiral TOWARDS the root. You will feel it in your hand as you draw it.
Anyhow... It is very similar to the numbers that many sisters use when referencing their type of hair grade But I tend use use the 6-9 ether as well when referencing hair grades. Anyways, that is my short scattered explanation, and I am sure Anuket could explain it much better...LOL.

my take on make up....
Im very minimalist, but I loooove "lip stuff ... BTW, I always advise against the usage of all petro chemicals on human bodies...instead of baby oil, almond oil with lavender in nice ;)
This is...
...wonderful information. So, exactly where can we find these natural products?
