What an honor it is to be apart of history! I have a confession to make, this was my first time voting. Not because of any citizenship reasons, but I NEVER felt compelled by any candidate, everyone seemed the same to me, yet it took a CHANGE like Barack Obama to inspire and motivate me to stand in a line in the rain and cold to cast my first ballot. We all took a part in such a wonderful part of history and we will be able to tell this story to our children and grandchildren...what a proud moment. America is not the only country celebrating, but I think this is a time when the energy of CHANGE and HOPE fills the air around the Universe. Congratulations President Obama, and First Lady Michelle..welcome to the White House!

Obama has set new standards for America, but most importantly for our Nubian boys. I am so happy that they have a new role model to look up to! I would safely say that if you ever wondered about how it felt to overcome racism during the Civil Rights movement..then just look into your heart today and feel the warmth of your tears, the passion and thump in your heart beat..this is a resemblance of what it felt like...and each and everyone of us whether you voted or blogged, or volunteered...we helped make this happen...Yes We Did!
