When I first started homeschooling, I didn't really know what was in store for us. All I knew was that I didn't like how my son wasn't getting the individual attention he needed in school and that he was being bullied. None of the teachers or authorities were on the front lines with me when I was trying to put an end to the bullying. I drew the line when he came home very upset and his pants ripped up to his knee, and again, nobody from his school called me.
Now that we are homeschooling, my son has matured to a great extent. My daughter is also doing great. She is very bright, alert and intelligent.
We love the fact that we can be creative and independent in creating studies for homeschool. We are always coming up with new ideas for cultural, academic, and social studies.
I find that homeschool opens up new doors to better opportunities for me to challenge myself as a parent and teacher. It also challenges me as an entrepreneur since it puts positive pressure on me to be successful since I made a choice not to go out and work. Homeschooling pressures me to succeed in business at home.
On a social level, homeschooling fosters excellent Independence and leadership in children so that they can initiate progressive movement in the community. Also, since more black families are choosing homeschool and becoming entrepreneurs it's strengthens our communities economy and Independence(no more relying on white supremacy or the government to support us!).
So on a whole, homeschooling is great! Try it and you'll see.
Here, here!
I haven't had children yet (I don't even have a husband, for that matter); nevertheless, I came to the decision a couple of weeks ago that I would do everything in my power to to homeschool my children. Hmm...allow me to revise my earlier statement: we (me and the future Mr.) will do everything in our power to homeschool our children. Ah, that's better. Be blessed.

Homeschool
For years I wanted to school my children, but I felt that they would be missing out on a good education. That was so weird to say, because I knew that every night, I had to teach my children everything they was supposed to learn at school. I finally got tired of homeschool in the evening, so my children would be ready to go to school and pickup their homework, so I could teach them their lessons. I love homeschooling and the best thing is, I don't have to wait to the evening to teach. It is less stressfull because the children are not tired from their long day at school.

I'm laughing and agreeing. You do find that at the end of a (traditional western school)
day you are doing the teacher's job without her pay. I once had a teacher tell me once before my entering into homeschool, "Did you know your kindergartener could read," that was back when my son was younger. I was like "Yeah, and who you think taught him."

The experience itself creates an atmosphere where the children are fostered in a loving environment. The worry about what type of attitude is allowed to foster inside a classroom by the teacher and students is wiped out of the picture. When we are in control (as homeschooling parents) the priorities are always in order and elevating the mind has no time block, you stick with it until you get it.
