Quite opposite to popular belief, there is nothing wrong with eating spicy foods. The warm spices are great for clearing the sinuses and most of the warm spices, including cayenne, coriander, turmeric, and cumin are also known to carry magnificent healing properties themselves. Black Cumin comes in two forms, either as seeds themselves, or as a cold pressed oil. The oil an be taken internally as well as topically. Many people rspectively take in one teaspoon of black cumin oil daily by either taking it with a meal or mixing it into fresh juice. To ensure that you are taking in Black Cumin, look for it's botanical name of Nigella Stiva as well. The brownish-greenish cumin that you find in the markets are not the same thing, and are instead mostly used as a spice.
Black Cumin seeds contain over one hundred positive minerals and vitamins and has many of the essential fatty/amino acids. With all of these minerals, there is no wonder these little seeds are known as a cure for all. Various studies around th world have been done to prove the effectiveness of Black Cumin on cancer patients and have been quite succesful. Studies performed in Spain as well as England found that the fixed oil is useful in the treatment of rheumatism and other inflammatory diseases.
As with most herbs, Black Cumin should not be taken while pregnant or during lactation, nor should it be given to young children. Make sure to only take in the reccommended dosage amount for safety and effectiveness. It seems as though if we were to take a good look at our Ancient Ancestors, all of our wonders of medicine wil be solved. They had an abundance of knowledge of the healing effects of nature. Western medicine and man alike are just now catching up to the magic of nature!
Love black seed oil
Thank you for this article! I just learned about the great healing effects of Black seed oil or Black cumin; my mother actually told me about it! I have ingested it as well as use it as moisturiezer on my skin. I have been suffering from an inflammatory skin reaction that no doctor or herbalist so far has been able to treat. But the last herbalist I went to suggested I use it as a moisturizer after I shower. While I still breakout every now and again it is in no way like it was before I began using Black seed (Nigella Stiva).
It is a great oil; the smell can take a little getting used to for some but for me it smells quite nice. I really would suggest that everyone tries it at least once and witness its healing powers for yourself.
Your article made me remember that I need to go and buy some more of the cold-press oil. It also made me excited about it again. I finished my last bottle several months ago and and haven't gone and gotten another bottle but after reading this article. I think I'm going to get some today!
The only problem is I haven't been able to find a local store that carries the oil it self. I have to go online and buy it at black-seed-usa.com. It would be great to go to the store and just pick it up. I wish more health food stores in MD would start carrying it. Well thanks for the reminder!
Peace,
Nefretiti
