I love all types of fashion mediums and screen printing is one of my favorite ways of embellishing fashion and crafts, so when I ran across Junk Prints, I really fell in love. I think the thing that really made me love this line were the political statements that Artist & Designer Chanel Kennebrew makes on her tees, bags, jackets, and illustrations. Chanels Etsy Shop was featured on Etsy so be sure to check out her wonderful interview with them. Chanel is the type of artist that I admire...the one that makes a statement with her passions, the one that steps out of the box, the one that is not afraid of color. All in all, in my opinion, Chanel reminds me of a modern day Betty Saar, who has always been one of my favorite Collage Artists. Only Chanel makes her artistic statements on her clothing and designs instead of shadow boxes and installations. Thank you Chanel for being such a creative inspiration!
