So, I feel so honored to be tagged by the lovely Nina of the fabulous blog "NeoSewMama". So here you go Nina..here's whats in my bag:
1. The Bag: I love this bag that I wear as a sling that I ordered offline from a lovely lady in Singapore. here is her website: BohemianCloset.com.
2. Wallet & keys; I plan on making me my own wallet as part of the ymib Sewing Circle. I particularly hate this one..LOL.
3. Paint Sample: i just painted my walls in the lovely "Island Shores" blue(3rd one down)..Lovin it!
4. Rum & Butter candy cane..because I like my sweet treats.
5. My little goal book that I fill with sketches & the randomness that pops into my head & a pretty blue pencil that I have yet to change out because every time I go to use it I realize that there is no eraser left..LOL.
6. My 20% off Bed Bath & Beyond Coupon, because I will be purchasing an ice-cream maker for a summer filled with experimenting with ice-cream and sorbet flavors...first up is Green tea!
7. Spiral notebook that is literally filled with grocery lists from months ago up until the present(you see my budgeting going on next to each item) and my random article/project ideas. Receipts that I stashed inside of it, and some scratch off tickets from our recent trip to Florida, because my dad loves these things, so I thought it would be funny to mail him a couple for laughs.
8. Compact mirror, Maybelines Shinyliscious Lip Gloss: "Banana Pudding flavor and ofcourse bobby pins.
9. Putumayos Latin Jazz cd, so I wont forget to have it the next time I go out for a drive, which probably wont be until next Friday when I go grocery shopping again. I let the hubby do the driving..I hate driving...he calls me Miss Daisy and sometimes hums the theme song when we are in the car together(smile).
10. Last but not least my favorite sterling silver & green turquoise ring given to me by the hubby. I hate diamonds, and I wear this as my "wedding" ring...LOL. It was in the bag, because as soon as I walked in the door, I took off all embellishments immedialtely...I like comfort...LOL.
I would have most definitely have had a calculator in the bag, but the little one seems to have hidden it from me(I've been searching for it for days now). Nina, thanks for the tag...this was fun!
Great tag...
I enjoyed reading this.
In Your Bag
Hey Ericka!
Thanks a ton for playing along. It was great to see what you were carrying.
It looks a lot like mine on most days :)
I love both of the things you said about your ring. I'm not into diamonds... I would prefer jade or quartz and I'll take sterling silver over gold any day. And although I love to accessorize, I usually take any jewelry off (along with my shoes) as soon as I walk in the door also. Nothing beats that feeling of freedom.
What's in my bag?
I'm always curious to know what people keep in their bags & even more interested in how they stay at home.
What's in my bag right now?
I've got a yellow backpack filled with a spiral bound notebook, verizon propaganda, the box my phone came in, a copy of Sacred Woman, my Womb journal, Sage & a lighter, my daily agenda, a plastic ziplock of writing/drawing utensils, a ruler, scissors, glue, a big eraser, cloth moon pads,Lavender & Valor (an essential oil blend of spruce, rosewood, blue tansy and frankincense designed to increase feelings of strength & courage in the face of adversity), calendula salve, honey burt bee's lip balm, the homeopathic remedy Arnica and a camo green armpit purse that has my wallet, car keys, a small pack of tissue, a paper towel that reads 'Akashic Field & HAARP' in magic marker, my new pink razor phone & a small crystal sphere.
I like how you arranged the objects of your bag. I've noticed you've got an eye for that kinda of stuff. You are a talented & creative photographer.
Give thanks for sharing this playful post.

I hate the diamond thing too. Give me a charming turquoise any day. My bag has a life of it's own but I have to keep a book , my journal, a pocket dictionary and thesaurus. I forgot my traveling Obi (coconut shells) and my mother peace cards. I love the vibration they give me as I travel. I also keep my white satin cloth for wrapping my head. As Obatala is my Baba I have to be aware of situations requiring a cool head and so when I need to exercise a little clarity out comes my cloth to cover my sacred cradle.

Nice!
It's way less junky than my bag, lol. And I like the idea of a portable goal book, I may have to try that. And I'm defnitiely feeling you on the no diamond thing, I hate them too. Turquoise is much prettier, and doesn't require a down payment ;)
