Ok Sisters I have another Political Question for ya!
With the slip in the poles for Obama, and the rising of Hillary, is it appropriate for Jeremiah Wright to continue to Talk and Talk about the connection to him and Obama, the Church, the American Dream Deferred for Blacks and other poor people?
My Opinion:
I think he is hurting Obama by continuing to speak on TV make public appearances and speeches on this topic and Obama. I'm all for his sermons and speeches they are right on point and setting America on Fire amongst all races and it's getting us to talk about the Issue of Race and Class in our society. But I truly think he is hurting Obamas chances. People are very wishy washy ( voters have changed their votes) and will hang you (not literally) just by association to another. I'm afraid they will and are going to do this to Obama.
So should Rev. Wright just sit this one out and wait till the race is over?
Timing is Everything
The "good" reverand should just sit this one out and wait until the race is over. The issues of race, religion and all of the others he's discussed won't die down. They've been in debate for years and will continue to do so.
I admit that I did watch him on Meet The Press (I do believe that was the show he was on) and despite my dislike for him, he held his own very well. One could clearly tell that the questions asked of him were clearly asked to set him up so that his responses could be used further cause damage against Obama and his campaign. Wright actually answered the questions with some knowledge, dignity and decorum. Now I'm hoping now that his 15 minutes are up so that we can focus on the more important issues at hand.
