A creative lady that is inspiring me right now is Artist Lorna Williams(pics above). I hope to find more examples of her work...I have not had much luck...does anyone know of her work? I really like her use of color, imagery, and mixed mediums. I have not painted in what seems to be forever...well, maybe not forever, I did do some commissioned illustrative pieces for The Belly Dancers of Color, a book cover, and a few other illustrative work. I really miss the paintbrush at times. I finally got around to buying a new sketch book. So I will fill it with clippings and words that inspire the growth of myself, my home life, as well as the outlook on ymib. I am SO elated to see so many creative sisters here in the ymib circle!!!! You all are truly some of the most inspiring people! So, with that said, I hope all of your creative spirits are nurtured...Keep creating! Here are a few of my current and past pieces, I like to work with watercolor and fibers/textiles, and textile paint(I was a fibers and textiles major ast S.C.A.D in Savannah, GA...fun times...fun times. The green piece with the 3 ladies is on fabric & the piece with the little girls holding hands is done in fabric and thread, and applique...no paint. The bottom "sepia-toned" one was done with tea and ink...yes...tea.LOL:) I think I was going through an Elizabeth Catlett stage then. I also adore creative quilting, and have done several, but failed to take pics before handing them over to their new owners...sigh, anyways on to create something new: Dream It...Create It...Give It Away!

Love your pieces
I wanted to say how beautiful your art is. Keep on creating and dreaming. The world needs all the beauty we can give.
