My soundtrack to Happy Days...

Right now, I'm in a great mood and that's been going steady for the last 3-4 weeks! In my life journey, I've decided to really focus on what makes me happy and what really keeps me there... ya know. I've found that music really really gets me grooving and back into a happy place.

It started with a deal with my soul sista from back home. We had a race to see which of us could sent the other 2 CDs first. Officially, she won, but really, actually we both did! She sent me Ingrid Michaelson's "Girls and Boys" and Feist's "The Reminder" along with a pretty sweet card. I sent her Citizen Cope's "The Clarence Greenwood Recordings" and Alice Smith's "For Lover's, Dreamers, and Me" and a piece of my artwork and a note. I found out about Citizen about two years now and saw him in concert with my boyfriend and his sister last year. And at the concert Alice Smith opened for Citizen. It was a wonderful concert!

Thru the morning fog... clear skies will come.

...clear skies will come

I don't know about you ladies... but mornings are hard for me. I'm a night owl by nature and have been working to change that for the past 3 years. On my more challenging mornings, I hit the snooze only to lay frozen in my sleepy state... hoping that another moment of rest may stimulate in me some fire or motivation to jump up and appreciate the day ahead of me. It's like this "morning fog" and with time and positive messages and happy thoughts, I do get out of it and am able to function... but still have to remind myself of this positive message throughout the day.

Well, ladies, I ask, what really is wrong with that? This year I am deciding to work with my nature rather than against it and accept that some mornings I need to jump start my motivation to get going!
