"A new memorial at the African Burial Ground National Monument in New York City pays tribute to free blacks and slaves who were buried at the site more than two centuries ago." Did anyone go or has anyone gone to this? I think this is a beautiful monument that I would love to visit one day.

This thought just recently crossed my mind as I was reading this article.Articles around the web states that around 50,000 people(give or take) gathered in Jena, Louisiana. The article states that Mychal Bell still has not met the $90,000 bail. Now does this sound right to you...how can 50,000 people spend the money to travel to Jena & hold conferences, yet the bail for the most focused on victim has not been raised? If only all 50,000 people had sent over at least $1.80, maybe he could have made bail? I dont know...just one of those things I suppose?
